A late 18th century, Anglo Irish, Neo Classical style, chimney piece in white statuary marble, circa 1780. The frieze centred with a protruding centre tablet delicately carved with a lidded urn with scrolling handles surrounded by scrolling foliage and flower heads, this is flanked by finger fluted panels. The end blockings decorated with sprays of foliage within inverted heart shaped scrolls, upheld by the tapering pilaster jambs which rest on the foot blocks, the opening framed with astragal mouldings.
