JL Atelier was founded with the conviction that interior design and furniture design are inseparable disciplines. A room is not complete when the last coat of paint is dry — it becomes complete when every object within it belongs. Our furniture is not sourced; it is designed as part of the whole. Our interiors are not styled; they are composed.
How We Work
Every commission begins with a detailed briefing process. We take time to understand not just what you want a space to look like, but how you want it to feel and function. We ask about the quality of morning light, about the objects that matter to you, about the spaces that have stayed with you. These conversations shape everything that follows.
From initial concept through spatial planning, material specification, bespoke furniture design and final installation, we manage each phase with precision and transparency. We work with a carefully selected network of artisans, fabricators and suppliers who share our standards and our approach.
Our projects range from single-room commissions to full-scale residential and hospitality transformations. Whatever the scale, the process is the same: methodical, collaborative, and entirely focused on the outcome.
What We Stand For
We believe in longevity over trend, in material honesty over surface effect, and in the kind of craftsmanship that rewards close attention. We do not design spaces to be photographed — we design them to be lived in. Our work should feel better after ten years than it did on the day of completion.
We are a small studio by design. We work with a limited number of projects at any one time, because the quality of our attention is what defines the quality of our work. Every client receives the full focus of the studio from the first conversation to the final walk-through.
