An impressive Sicilian jasper inlaid George III style chimneypiece. The white marble end blocks of carved tripod form, flanking a jasper frieze overlaid with white rosettes and white central urn. The chimneypiece stands on front projecting consoles inlaid with jasper fingers and is terminated with a breakfront shelf inlaid with a very unusual clover motif.
