Our Pimlico gallery, displaying antique and reproduction chimneypieces as well as our fire grates, lighting and furniture, aims to capture the classical English Country House aesthetic at the centre of the Jamb design ethos.

Christie’s Auction Results The Collection of Will Fisher; Founder of JambSouth Kensington – Thursday, 2 February 2012

Adrian Hume-Sayer, Specialist and Head of Sale commented:

“We are delighted with the resounding success of `The Collection of Will Fisher – Founder of Jamb.’ which realised over £3.9 million, against a pre-sale estimate of £1.4 million to £2.4 million. The saleroom was packed from the beginning of the auction and the buzz continued for over 8 and a half hours, with significant bidding received online, and up to thirty telephone lines in use for most of the sale. We saw fierce bidding battles across all categories. A spectacular George II chimneypiece, attributed to Isaac Ware (lot 100) far exceeded estimate and a taxidermy Chihuahua (lot 322) made forty times its low estimate achieving £20,000. This great result is a testament to the style and following of Will Fisher. We look forward to our next collection sale `Living with Art – A Private European Collection’ which will be held at Christie’s King Street on 9 & 10 February.”

Will Fisher, Founder of Jamb commented:

“The process of creating the catalogue and the sale with Christie’s has to have been one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. Christie’s have been truly outstanding and in my eyes they are the only auctioneers who truly understand the intimate nature of personal collections. It is an extremely intense, exciting process in which Christie’s have captured and understood the core aesthetic of both me, personally and my business Jamb. It is a privilege to have worked with such a talented and hardworking team. I am delighted with this exceptional result and I thank everyone who helped make it possible.”
