This exuberant white and Breche marble dining room chimneypiece presents an allegory of the pleasures of drinking, dining and entertaining. The ornate central frieze features an urn surrounded by swirling foliate carving and flower heads, while the end blocks feature dolphin heads and tridents supported by delicately carved jambs with ribbons, paterae and cross-lit torches.
