This elegant and refined neoclassical chimneypiece is in the 1790’s taste, with impressive Etruscan style jambs. Delicately carved urns sit on slender elongated pedestals below paterae held by ribbons, which are repeated on the frieze end blocks. The shelf features a band of running pearl and palm leaves above a finger fluted frieze.
