Pagoda
This pagoda shaped lantern reflects the 18th century European enthusiasm for Chinese objects and the Chinnoisere style. Sir William Chambers, amongst other 18th century designers, incorporated the Chinnoisere in his work, particularly the Pagoda in Kew Gardens.
