An early 19th century, Regency period, Statuary marble chimney piece of Oriental Rivival design. The plain rectangular shelf above a compound moulding. The plain frieze stepped back from the back panels of the jambs which are fronted by tapering, full columns, deeply fluted with moulded bases on squared blocks. The caps in the form of stylised Lotus flowers. The opening framed by heavily moulded in-grounds and soffit.
